Message-ID: It seems I am in the market for a new ISP. Looking over the local B'more options, Believe Wireless came up in my searches. Broadband reports had a few reviews, but not that many recently. Can anyone expand on what my Google foo has already found? http://www.believewireless.com/ http://www.dslreports.com/comments/2243 I am also looking at Clear, but wanted to support a local company - hence my further research and posting/question. In-Reply-To: References: Message-ID: <20100604153055.GA29741@divisionbyzero.net> $100 Install Fee, 12mbps down, 2mbps up in Canton for $79/mo. No contract, excellent customer service. They showed up on time to my appt, which beat out Comcast failing to show up for _9_ appointments. We use their service at work for our mobile research vehicles. They've been great. We typically go into poorer neighborhoods where comcast and verizon are running on very old copper _IF_ it's even there. I don't know how far out Believe goes, but I've been happy with their service. They don't have the 12mbps service everywhere, and a friend who does a lot of bit torrent wasn't thrilled with their 8mbps service and went back to comcast. That said, with Net Neutrality under fire, a small, locally owned ISP is probably a safer bet than an amoral nationwide, destroyer of souls. :) On Thu, Jun 03, 2010 at 02:37:58PM -0400, Irish wrote: > It seems I am in the market for a new ISP.
